Character Creation

Step 1: Name/Password

Select a name and a password
There is a name generator available at rotjmud.com

Step 2: Simple or Advanced Creation

Choose Simple Creation or Advanced Creation.

  [S] - Simple Creation.  Starting stats are automatically allocated based on class type.
  [A] - Advanced Creation.  Player chooses how to assign starting stats and join primary class in game

You automatically level, raise stats, and train weapon proficiency until level 30 with Simple Creation

Step 3: Select Gender

Select gender (M/F)

Step 4: Select Race

See: races for details.

Select race. This sets your stat limit. Each race also gets a unique piece of starting equipment.

Step 5: (Simple Creation) Select Primary Class

Select your primary class. See: classes for details.


(J) Jedi : Noble keeper's of the peace in a turbulant galaxy.
(C) Medic : When your allies are on the ropes, who you gonna call?
(U) Smuggler : Find the 'treasures' of the galaxy and get them with five finger discount.
(M) Mercenary : For those problems where violence of action and brute force are the only answer.
(T) Technician : Fix it when it's broken and break it when it's not.
(B) Bounty Hunter : Any target, anywhere. For the right price.

Step 5: (Advanced Creation) Select Size

Select your size

You must select your size comparable to others of your race.
 (S) Small  : Smaller than most, you have a larger bonus to Mana gains.
 (M) Medium : Average size, you have a small bonus to both Mana and Hitpoint gains.
 (L) Large  : Larger than normal, you have a large bonus to Hitpoint gains.

Step 6: (Advanced Creation) Allocate Stats

Enter Letter to Change (Press H for Help):
Strength [S] Increases melee combat damage and how much you can carry.

Intelligence [I] Increases force effectiveness, reduces focus costs and increases focus recovery.

Wisdom [W] Increases healing abilities, helps with lightsaber combat and improves skill training.

Dexterity [D] Increases skill with ranged weapons and lightsabers, increases # of items you can carry.

Constitution [N] Reduces amount of damage you sustain, increases hit point pool and recovery.

Charisma [C] Helps protect from aggressive NPC's and increases number of followers you can have.

Quickness [U] relates directly to how many times you strike in combat.

You have enough points to get one stat to 40 and the rest to 50, or one stat to 52 and the rest to 48.
